Brea Core Plan: Active Transportation Plan

The City of Brea embarked on a collaborative effort with the community to prepare a long-range plan for the heart of the City. This fact sheet answers commonly asked questions and provides information on elements of the process.


As part of the Brea Core Plan, the City received a grant from Cal Trans to study cyclists and pedestrian safety along major corridors and prepare an Active Transportation Plan (ATP). Throughout the process, staff engaged residents and businesses to explore ways to improve the safety and experience for cyclists and pedestrians along streets, sidewalks, and trails within Brea’s core.
