In 2020, the City of Brea’s Community Development Department initiated an outdoor dining program to allow restaurants to temporarily convert portions of adjacent parking areas, walkways, patios, common areas, sidewalks, and public rights-of-way into customer dining areas or parklets. Parklets are open outdoor areas that residents and visitors can utilize as a way of coming together while maintaining safe and healthy measures in downtown.
